Trophy Hunting

At Gorooab Lodge hunting is conducted by means of fair chase. Whilst the Namibian Trophy Hunting Season runs from February to November, we recommend that safaris are booked during the cooler months from 1 May to 30 September. Safaris of 7 to 14 days are advisable, depending on the number of species the party intends to hunt. One trophy per day is a useful guide.

For the bird enthusiast, Gorooab is a haven for guineafowl, partridge, pheasant, sandgrouse and more. The hunt involves water hole hides, shoot hides at the crop fields and a walk around the most scenic vegetation in North Namibia. Grouse hunting (maximum 5 per day) takes place from September to end of November.
